Independence Day (1996) Theatrical/Extended Cut 2.0 Flac Stereo Mix (ripped from DVD)
#1
I have ripped the DD 2.0 Dolby Pro Logic mixes of the Theatrical & Extended versions of Independence Day from the Five Star Collection DVD and Converted it to Flac 2.0 (no annyoing Dolby DRC/Dialnorm to deal with!!)

the 2.0 Mix of this movie is simply amazing (most likely the same one used on the Laserdisc/VHS/Dolby SR Optical 35mm)

if someone has the ability sync this to the 20th Anniversary UHD/BD of Independence Day, please pm me!!!

here are the links

Update: I have now uploaded the untouched AC3 files to Mediafire. here are the links:

Not to be complaining, but why convert the DD to FLAC?

no Dialnorm/Dynamic Range Compression and lossless encoding for editing/syncing purposes. And i found out that it actually goes up to 20khz in spek!

look at this spectrogram of a source that was encoded from a DTS Cinema CD (apt-x converted to DTS DCA (Coherent Acoustics)and you will see that it tops off at 20khz as well:

Minus the Dialnorm/DRC and other metadata that Dolby forces consumers to deal with, the sound quality, while not lossless, is really good , considering that it dates back to the late 80's early 90's!

original mix was 5.1, which was always available and is awesome on the blu-ray. so i personally see no point in it. but whatever makes you happy Smile

yeah, that's true but some people like the discrete 2.0 mix as well.

Moved to the audio in progress section since this is an audio only project and no syncing has been done yet.
