Haven’t seen this in a long time and fancy a rewatch.
I own the R2 DVD which unfortunately contains a faulty 5.1 track (missing LFE).
Just wondering, has anyone captured the LD surround track?
If not does anyone have the Dolby Digital 2.0 track from the R1 uncut DVD?

LD was a R version which is shorter, so you can't sync it.
There is an early DVD which has the LD master and audio which kills every other edition of this film. (no clipped whites, great film noir like colors).
It's in a snapcase. If you come across it, I'm interested.
Like Robocop, the long version is crap, I prefer the TC.

Yep, got the Japanese LD PCM captured quite some time ago now, was thinking of synching to the BD myself but have been holding out hope for a new release...

Oh yeah, the difference in international cuts sounds familiar. Will have to check the JP LD again and see if it includes the extended scenes.

Not yet, currently visiting relatives but will try and check sometime in January, and if it does turn out to be the unrated version I can hopefully do the sync soon after.

Well, I haven't compared the video but the audio of the LD is about 18 seconds shorter than the BD audio once logos and LD side changes are taken into consideration. Specifically, it looks like the audio of the first sex scene between the main characters is considerably different. So it doesn't look like a sync will be possible unless one mixes in the BD audio for this scene, and possibly others.

Did you happen to have the original R1 DVD? It has the TC which is like the LD (same master) the best version of the film released so far.
