What kind of HDD failure did you have spoRv? Some types of HDD damage can be fixed:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzIS_q4yS88 I once had a failed hard drive too, unfortunately it was the type of failure where the entire drive jumped around, but if it's just a head problem, there may be hope.
