No luck with the old test kit WAV file. Can't think what else to try? Is there any way to test using an actual LD?

What kind of CD-Rs are you using? Can you share the WAV you ripped and the recording so I can try to debug it

This could be a case of the LD player not liking CD-Rs, or certain brands in particular. Does the burned CD playback as DTS either on your PC or home cinema (if you have one)? If so then at least you know the CD burning process works, it's just a case of getting the LD player to recognise it.
The alternative is to use a DTS LD, if you can capture and recover the DTS then you can verify the setup is bit-perfect. Alternatively capturing AC-3 works as well but you need a player with RF-out and a demodulator

Still struggling but just trying to work through the different possible issues.
I stupidly deleted the old DTS Parser kit when the new one came out - would anyone that still has it be able to send me it please?

It's either something with your recording settings or your LD player.

Will have another look at the settings but I'm pretty sure they match your guide which sadly suggests it's the LD player. Is it worth trying any other software that's out there?
Also, is there any other way of telling if it's the player?

Just looking at my LD Player front panel and there's a 'Direct CD' option - is that likely to make a difference one way or another?

That shouldn't matter; it just switches off all the video circuits and switches to the smaller dedicated CD tray if there is one. You won't have that on when you're actually capturing LD, anyway. |
