Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Trailer Restoration

i've finished the restoration/re-creation of the theatrical trailer of mad max beyond thunderdome

i had to make a few subtle changes due to missing frames/footage and use of alternate angles in the trailer.
everything was done to honor the original intend. though, i did change the opening logo to the much cooler
1970's warner bros logo  :cool:

On the subject of aspect ratio, were there any scope releases of this trailer? I've amassed a fair few trailers from the 1980s and 2.35:1 was pretty rare back then. I guess anamorphic trailers would only be attached to films in the same ratio (taking swapping of projector lenses into account), and this era wasn't exactly a high point for luxurious widescreen cinematography. MMbT honourably excepted, of course!

By the way, this is a pretty rare teaser that I haven't seen outside this fuzzy VHS transfer. A fresh challenge, if you like ;-)

none of the mad max trailer have seen a widescreen presentation on home video. theatrical it might have been.

this teaser is not possible as it uses production pictures. if their would be available in high quality, then it would be possible. you just need somone good enough to recreate the animation.

Nope, it was Beyond Thunderdome everywhere. A reboot of some sort since it dropped the number!

Think that in Italy, EP1 was named "Interceptor (Mad Max)", EP2 was "Interceptor - Il Guerriero Della Strada" (the road warrior, with no reference to Mad Max at all), and EP3 was "Mad Max oltre la sfera del tuono" (literally: beyond the thunder sphere)... so, I often mix the first two titles!
