Just an update on my last post. Springfeel hasn't given me a timestamp for the distortion yet, but I've had a listen to the scene in question and think I found what he's referring to. At 12:16 in the file there's what sounds like clipping. I've just listened to the audio coming out of my laserdisc player, going into an analogue amp, over good quality headphones and heard the same clipping. So it's either baked into the disc's audio or a problem with my player.
Given that I've been able to pass Bronan's DTS CD bit perfect test I'm leaning towards it being on the disc, but if anyone has any other way I can verify I'd really appreciate it. I'm still new to bit-perfect laserdisc PCM ripping so I want to make sure I'm not making any stupid mistakes.

I think once I've done Citizen Kane and I Am Cuba I'll be stopping PCM rips for a bit so that I can put my laserdisc player back under my TV and start watching them again.
Feel free to keep making requests, but it may take some time for me to complete them. I'll probably still hook my player up to my computer every now and then and do batches. I hope these rips are all useful for your projects : )

Just to let you know that I've hooked my laserdisc player back up to my TV so I won't be doing any more rips for a while.
Feel free to keep making requests and I'll work my way through them next time my player is hooked up to my PC. For now I'm going to concentrate on my own projects and enjoy being able to watch laserdiscs on the TV again : ) I hope these rips have been useful for your projects.

Whenever you get back to ripping could I request Dragonslayer? Didn't know this has not been released on Blu-ray yet. There seems to be a few HDrips flying about but with 5.1 audio and compressed. Would be great to get the LD surround to sync up! Thanks given by: HippieDalek
