Yeah - it might be a while... Have to find it first, but once I do I could scan through it.

Yeah, like I said, no rush... whenever you get a chance to take a look that would be awesome to know. For me it's more a matter of curiosity than anything else.

Is the MCA DiscoVision release uncut? I have approximately twenty copies of it in my basement.

Hi, was the uncut version ever released with an English soundtrack? Thank you.

I'm only five or six non-feature titles away from having a complete set. I only have one CLV Psycho. All the rest are CAV. The collection belonged to Charles Shishkevish, former owner of CEBA Video. He started collecting MCA DiscoVision on day 1 and was the source of most of the big MCA DiscoVision collections today. He was obsessed with dead sides, so I have more than fifty copies of "Smoking: How To Stop". I'm told he was trying to piece together an entire set composed only of dead sides. Because of this, in addition to the collection proper I have ~700 loose MCA DiscoVision discs with no cover/jacket. I keep them in blank white cardboard record jackets. One interesting consequence of being obsessed with dead sides is that all of the titles I got from his family were CAV titles with an odd number of sides. I had to fill-in the CAV titles with an even number of sides and the CLV titles myself. One benefit of his obsession with dead sides is that they're all already scrubbed. I have no work to do in that department! My basement is full of MCA DiscoVision LDs. I'm drowning in them.

It's worth noting that the extra scenes were probably only ever in international releases. The version on the current Blu-Ray is very probably the version that was presented theatrically in the U.S. in 1960.
Nummer6 has offered to send me the file, and I'm going to attempt a restoration. |
