[Help] How do you sync 2 sources in Vegas Pro

I'm trying make my own Open Matte of 'Shaun of the Dead' from the web-dl and hdtv releases but the web-dl has the Starz intro and I can't seem to trim it so they both line up correctly.

Is there something I'm missing? Bearing in mind this my first attempt at this.

I don't really use Vegas, but you position the cursor on the timeline and hit a key ("S"?) to split the track that needs trimming. Then you can select and delete everything to the left of the edit-point before dragging the remainder of that track left to line up with the other one. That should get you started.

Managed to sync them up but then found out the HDTV rip is slightly stretched vertically and while trying to correct that Vegas crashed!

I think I'll leave these projects to you guys and just stick to donating instead.

I frequently get that sort of feeling as well but maybe just step away for a bit and forget about it, it might feel less frustrating later. Or you might not care any more, hahah... whatever works.

Don't be discouraged Hitcher, most projects I've taken on have thrown up at least one problem that's had me stuck until I've eventually figured it out. All part of the fun I can't help with Vegas I'm afraid I use Premiere. Maybe try another program, I haven't used it but a lot of people use Resolve.
