Eraserhead LD PCM mono track

The Criterion doesn't have any "missing shots." There was a white frame during a scene transition that wasn't supposed to be there.

As for the audio, the stereo track was remixed by Lynch himself in the 90s. He took the original mix and essentially opened it up. It'd be interesting to hear if there are any differences at all, but I don't think any have ever been dug up.

Wha? 1 channel after, 4 before? No, it was *originally* 1 channel (mono) as released. Then he went back and "stereo-ised" it, and all later releases have the Dolby Stereo / Dolby Surround mix. It's apparently still mostly mono really but with a bit of separation here and there.

Still, I fully intend to capture the original mono at some point, so I'll let you know if I ever manage.
