The Hunt For Red October was released in Dolby SR Stereo on the 35mm prints. I wonder why they didn't include the original 2.0 mix on the UHD BD
That’s because it’s the 70 mm mix presented in 5.1 in the mid to late 90s Paramount transferred it to AC-3, same thing with Patriot Games.

https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/21462/LV-...ctober-The and https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/20219/LV3...mes-(1992)
Here are some examples of the AC-3 LD
Edit: if you want the 35mm 2.0 mix you Gonna have to hunt down the older WS LD.
2nd Edit this is kind of related to Indy as Ford and Connery do player roles in those movies.
3rd edit: Maybe check out the original DVD from 1998 as it does have a 2.0 track.

The Dolby True HD 5.1 sound on THFRO (The Hunt for Red October) and Patriot Games Blu-rays sound wonderful and show examples for Paramount to include the original Dolby Stereo 70mm audio in 5.1 DTS-HD MA or Dolby True HD on The Indiana Jones 4K instead of just having Dolby True HD Atmos as the only option.

As happy as I am for a 4K release, again they go with incorrect colour grading. This just isn't how they looked, and it is a damn shame studios keep doing this. Raiders deserves the absoloute best treatment, and it is not getting it Sad

I will stick with the 35mm print. And the same for Temple in the near future.

Kinda looks like they just used the Blu-rays for this trailer.

I do like the changes to Crystal Skull. There was always a weird cartoon-y cloudiness to the film. It looks more natural in the 4k trailer.

the trilogy was remastered in 4k way back in 2012. it probably is the same transfers with HDR added.

Agreed. I think Crystal Skull had a complete 4k rebuild and redo of some of the plasticky looking CG sections (many that looked to have been pulled from the X360/PS3 version of the IJCS game).
