Indiana Jones UHD Collection

Look like they converted Skulls from a 2009 era digital crap film to an actual film. This will help a lot ease the blow of the film.

No orignal audio and sticking with the crap regrade of Raiders with the changes applied makes this pointless.

Why crappy cult films get utmost respect with transfers yet we can’t get a 100% accurate Raiders without changes and all four mixes (VistaSonic, Dolby stereo, Dolby 70mm, mono) plus new perfect scans of Temple and Crusade is beyond me.

Don't let your time away from it fool you. It's as bad as you remember.

At a guess, cult films are more niche and their buyers are probably more clued up as to what they want from a new release so it's got to be treated better in the transfer process. Raiders on the other hand will be aiming for mass market and Joe Public wont have a clue if it's a good transfer or not.

I'm not sure, if they thought Joe Public didn't have a clue, they would not redo the scans and color timing over and over.

It's mostly the director and producers being concerned about the longevity of their work, and trying to keep them up to date. I mean, Lucas was the producer. For cult films, usually the director is dead, so fans working at small Blu-ray companies are left free to do them justice.

The new redo on Skulls, just shows that Spielberg feel now that the initial release was a badly dated miss, and is aiming to do the look of the film some justice and keep it watchable for the 4K generation.

Recomposited shot? Are we sure that we aren't seeing the lack of the prior changes?
Any work they did on the last BD would probably have to be redone or left alone on a new 4k transfer.

Raiders UHD is in perfect sync with the Blu-ray and Chewie's WOWOW version that includes the PCM stereo track.
