Unfortunately, I, as an idiot, realized that in the render I forgot to grade a particularly long shot at the 71~ minute mark, so unfortunately that's something I'll have to fix when I get a chance (should've caught that before releasing tbh). On that note, are there any bits for those of y'all who already skimmed through it that looks weird or wrong so that I can fix it for the next version?

Finished downloading overnight so no worries taking it down. Saved it to my own Mega anyway. Watched first twenty mins or so so far and everything appears ok to my eyes, will carry on checking before getting your re-encode.

It's surprising how much of an improvement this is. The colorgrading on the original is like a cheap direct to TV movie, no idea why they made that decision. Honestly it's like watching a whole new, much better movie.

Kudos to Carpenter (as producer) for trying something different. Third favourite after the original and II, and it might be my favourite Halloween score - love the end credits cue. Caps look very nice LG.

Very interesting! I've always enjoyed this movie, but of course I was warned it didn't have Michael Myers before I even saw it so that lessened the blow and opened my mind to give it a chance. I think if I were among the ones that saw the movie during its theatrical run I would hate it the way a lot of people do. The way it was marketed seemed to have missed the mark. Had it just been called "Season of the Witch" I think it would have found its audience. On its own, I think it's an entertaining piece of early 80s cinema that really isn't any worse than some of the other films out there from the era and has a really cool vibe to it.
