Which version of Heat are you thinking about TAF? BD or UHD?

Alleycat's Heat looks pretty great not sure I can do better then that.

The new master of Heat looks very digitally worked to me. I'd say a better basis would be the older 2009 master: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Heat-Blu-ray/753/

Or if you have the JP BD, it's the 2009 master just better encoding: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Heat-Blu-ray/56885/

Alleycat's release looks great and captures the look it had on DVD very well; recommend it to those who haven't checked out! I'm just curious if, judging by how it's working on Se7en, your LUT will produce more strong cyans/teals which I remember theatrically...

Whats the likelihood I could get a version of each w/ the treatments, color changes and upscaling but not cropped from the OM? (I'd like your special versions in open-matte). If its way too hard, np.

Sorry I don't think so.

The big problem I'm having is how to send large 4K files to people. Basically, looking at double the size of my existing projects and I'm already reaching the limit of sending 1080p files around.

That's a long way to say, I just can't make multiple versions and post them without major difficulty. I could switch to 1080p but I'm trying to work 4k realm lately.

yup, with Heat you gotta choose between better colors on the JPN/USA blu-ray vs better detail on the UHD. they pushed yellow pretty hard on the UHD and it's overall a lot darker:

I'm also adding Zodiac to this. I found the Web-DL Hitcher mentioned in my original Zodiac thread here:

https://fanrestore.com/thread-2922.html

I tried my inverse CRT LUT on it and these are the results. So this will be a completion of that original Zodiac project.

Just wondering if there is any progress with these projects, as well as projects in the theme of James Cameron?

Nope, sorry, no progress on this.

Been trying to teach myself some new techniques before I turn out any new projects.

In lieu of the controversial UHDs releases of Seven and Panic Room and what I'm sure will happen to Fight Club, I'm trying to pick this project back up.

I was wondering does anyone have the old flipper DVD of Seven? I want to look at the colors and grab the 5.1. Thanks in advanced.
