[Help] Under Siege (1992) German Blu-ray
#1
The German Blu-ray from Studio Hamburg reportedly has an English Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo track.

Does anyone know if this is the original theatrical audio or a downmix from the commonly used 5.1 remix?

Thanx.

According to a user on a german forum it is the original mix.
But there is another downside: there is only one german/austrian release which is correct. All single releases are 1080i, which means audio is sped up to PAL.
The correct release has both Films on one BD50, but audiospeed is correct since it is in 1080p.

This is the only correct release with original audio

Thanks for the info.

What a screw-up on the individuals!

Judging by the screencaps @ Caps-a-holic the Warner release (which was VC-1) has slightly better encoding!

Might just try to source the laserdisc stereo and sync it up.

I'm fine with my blu for SIEGE 2 because that was always 5.1 in theatres.

There are two repacks of the 1080p version.

Looks more like DNR on the german release.

I thought that at first, but someone else said it was down to sub-par encoding. Ether way, the Warner disc image is preferable.

SIEGE 2 is similarly affected so without the added attraction of OG audio there's even less reason to buy it.
