I've heard some people say that archival prints of Heat look like the UHD. Is there any credence to that?

I saw the truth with my own eyes in France. We have a witness here from the US, I believe, who saw just like me. And we have a recent witness from London that also saw just like me. So it’s not a local oddity that some have seen in one single country.

Looks incredible, including the menus and the cover art. Congratulations on all the work done on this from the other end of the world, and seeing it through. I'm just incredibly glad this exists!
Ever since I saw a 35mm theatrical trailer of Heat online, I was wondering for years if there ever was a version with those juicy colors restored, very similar to how different versions of Mann's insider have different aspect ratios/colors (I understand I'm simplifying this part) Either way, amazing project. I can't believe people would ask you for links right away without any dignity/respect on how personal and detailed an endeavor these things can feel. Congrats again and looking forward to catch glimpses of your other projects as well! |
