@maksnew maybe you can do a complexity overlay between D+, bootleg bluray and alleycat's restoration? Maybe that'll be a good source for topaz's upscaling.

This movie needs a remaster, all versions online from one transfer, and it's been tired for a long time. Topaz is designed for SD material and its improvement; I would not use it for HD material.

Next year I will have the opportunity to get a good Russian rental copy of this film in 35mm and make a decent digitization. Now it is possible to receive only Russian 5.1 sound from rental 35mm.

New scan (French trailer) has arrived. Trailer is almost the same with some slight differences.
Contrast is much better, but it's basically just red. No more blues, no more greens.

With some work I got this (left one is the old, right one the new scan):

I will continue with both of them and maybe try to get the scope trailer in the future.
