A1 Evo Neuron

Anyone here with a Denon/Marantz receiver running Neuron? It has transformed my setup.

If you don’t know what it is, it’s an automated script that bypasses Audyssey and calibrates your AVR using REW. The latest version lets you take measurements in the script using the Audyssey mic and also replaces the default filters on the AVR.

There’s also a video guide on YouTube.

I've been using his "Acoustica" version for the last two weeks and it is a dramatic improvement over stock Audessey settings.

Best of all there is tons of options for you to play around with to really cater for your room/sound needs.

It keeps evolving and the latest version is called "Express" where you really don't need to do anything apart from plugging your Audessey mic in for it to take measurements.

I’ve just installed express and I think it’s the best my system has sounded. I played around with a lot of different curves in Acoustica and even made my own house curve, but express tops it.

I have a Denon AVC-X3700H. I'll have to look into this stuff. Sounds promising.
