Alien 3 alleged 70mm 6-track mix from 1999 dvd (ac3 5.1) synced to Rob's Nostalgia Project 35mm scan (flac 5.1)
An alternative to the 2.0 from the US Blu-ray (with added static noise) used on this scan

I wonder if the 1999 5.1 mix is powerful and dynamic enough ?¿?

Is it real 5.1 or 4.1 in a 5.1 container with mono surround duplicated?

IIRC Alien 3 was split surround for its 70mm blow up (which makes sense given it was released 1 month before Batman returns)
1999 dvd 5.1 mix is generally regarded as the 70mm 6-track transfer.
Some have said that it was 4.1 into a 5.1 container, but there are slight differences in SR and SL

I analyzed the audio. There are significant limitations regarding the fine detail extension of the dialogue, special effects, and foley elements. This mix is actually more louder than necessary, and the integrated LUFS level is approximately 18% higher than that of the LaserDisc AC-3 5.1 mix I have on hand. It’s on all not a bad mix, overal sound is better than blu-ray dts-hd mixes.I liked the bass intensity.
