Ok so, no idea how Sam checked this but some of the info posted here is wrong.
For starters, the 1999 and Superbit mixes are NOT the same. Starting with Ghostbusters 1, every channel is different with worse cutoffs 1999: ![]() Superbit: ![]() I got a copy of the 2005 mix for this one and it is indeed the same mix as the 1999 DVD ![]() For Ghostbusters II, the mixes are pretty similar but the Superbit DTS is still slightly different and the surrounds are actually more muffled on the DTS. The frequencies are also slightly better on the DTS except the LFE. 1999: ![]() Superbit DTS: ![]() I appreciate Sam for getting these and looking into this, I won't be updating any of my syncs though as these tracks do seem to be different from the 99 DVDs. Believe me, that’s what DTS does when encoding, which is why the cutoffs are like this. Every DVD DTS mix I know does the same thing, Teacher’s Pet, the 10th Anniversary DVD of Toy Story, the Superbit DVD of Spider-Man 2, Titan A.E, the UK and German censored DVDs of Lilo & Stitch, etc. I actually made a preset on Audacity that allows me to increase the volume of the cutoffs to match the rest. This is what I did with my US DVD of Titan A.E synced to the AMZN WEB-DL.

I know that DTS DVDs have bad cutoffs, also ironic you bring up Titan A.E as I just capped and synced my VHS of that lol
