Frankenstein (1931) Audio Preservation
Hi folks. I guess this project will remain on hiatus until either Jerry returns or someone is willing to take over.

Anyways I'm currently watching this film on Svengoolie and I'm pretty sure I'm noticing something that further proves the BD audio is just a big fat mess. The print they are showing appears to be the BD print but of course because it's a television presentation the audio is so distorted that various sounds and at times dialogue gets somewhat buried in the background hiss. For example the sound of the Monsters footsteps that precedes his first entrance definitely do not stand out here as they should. Yes I know this is typical of TV airings but I think this proves that had the audio for the BD been more properly presented then these elements would not be so buried in the mix during this airing.

Jerry is back! Big Grin

Dunno if he'll do this or not, maybe you can drop a PM to know it.

Sadly I don’t foresee this moving forward unless Jerry returns or someone takes over.

It'd be great if he could share just the synced LD capture for now.

Holy heck that's incredible!
I didn't know there was a 1991 reissue print nor a theatrical reissue!

That is pretty neat. Hopefully who ever gets it may be someone who could assist us.

This video from 1991 actually mentions a reissue of Dracula and Frankenstein.
