There are tons of people out there with too much money, too much time, and not enough brains (ok, that last one is harsh, but in many cases true) and it wouldn't surprise me.

What bothers me about that is not that someone would pay that much, but that they would pay that much for something that will just end up putting in their private vaults where no one has access (so things are "lost") and the people that own the stuff just have it so they can brag that they have it - not because they appreciate what they have.
