LaserDiscs needed for replacing BD audio
#31
I also have the Toy Story THX LD as well as the Toy Story DTS LD, which sounds absolutely amazing. Do we know how to capture a DTS track from LD?

Got Jurassic Park DTS LD too but that's probably not needed considering we have the JP Cinema DTS CD, right?

Someone might have a way but it's still being tested. I would love to hear both of those, and i hope this happens. From what i heard, the JP LD is higher bitrate then the Cinema DTS disc. So this is just as important as Toy Story.

I believe that the sporv (or related) releases of Jurassic Park and The Lost World also included LD DTS tracks, or at least used them as sources... But I could totally be wrong on that so don't quote me, haha.

EDIT: Yes, they are still on the spleen... They were rules releases... Jurassic Park [ruLes 1.0] (BD) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park [ruLes 1.0] (BD) FIXED... Both Still Seeded.

How the DTS LD audio was captured according to the post... "DTS digital audio from Laserdisc to PC via S/PDIF bit-perfect 16bit 44.1KHz 5.1"

Yeah, and the DTS he captured is fantastic, but still doesn't have the dynamic range of the Cinema DTS track. NOT saying it's bad, but the dialog is a little cleaner on the Cinema AND my subwoofer got a MUCH bigger work out with it.Ok

Thanks Jerry, that's the important thing i wanted to know about the 2 tracks is dynamic range. So i guess that settles that.

Any luck with getting something together for capturing?

1. The code is 6703 AS. Is that the right one?

2. I've got the stuff, but I need a remote to switch the audio channels. It appears to be combining the two tracks which makes it a bit difficult for me. Saying that though, I can probably do Toy Story now and send it over for you to check.

Your THX LD has the dolby and a analog 5.1, Then there's the 12153 AS LD that has DTS and analog dolby. Lil Brutto had this one as well.

That's strange that it's combing the 2 tracks, could you get a universal remote if somehow you had the remote codes?

Would you be able to suggest one that has a button for audio?
