[Request] Star Trek 2 (Sky Broadcast)
#1
So I'd do this one myself if I had the broadcast. Did someone ever convert the Sky HDTV broadcast of st2 to 1080/24p and sync the ld pcm track?

For those not in the know, the U.K. Sat broadcast of st2 had colors closer to release prints then the blu-ray which was shifted to a more blue look. There is a big discussion about over on the ot if you want to catch up

FYI

I'd wait if I were you. I was working on Khan myself but gave up when I saw the announcement. Meyer is said to be involved, and I'm quietly confident that the colors will be better than those on the existing BD. Moreover, we should receive the theatrical cut and the director's cut with same color-timing.

The broadcast is the DC, so the PCM would have to be patched with audio from the R1 DVD.

Thanks Chew and Jetrell. Did Meyer have anything to do with the bd or was that all paramount?

Still a 1080/24p copy of the dc might be nice

Sounds Like an interesting project :-)

Just want to offer my services for the authoring and any seamless branching that might need to be done.

If the guys wanting the work done can make the Video Blu-ray compliant, x264, Progressive, 23.976fps or 24fps, High Level 4.1 1080p or 720p whichever I assume 1080p and Sync the audio to the video, then I can work with it no problem

For seamless branching the Video and Audio would need to be split into Clips with Video and Audio synced and running order stipulated all BD Compliant and can be done :-)

All up to the guys but here if needed

Thanks

I don't know if Meyer was involved in the color-timing of the existing BD, but I doubt it.

I've actually yet to see TWOK... but I'd love to see it with its original colours! Were the other films any better on Sky?

The other films were pretty decent, as far as I could see. I enjoy watching the Sky rips.
