One of the reasons why they should have more SD on Blu-ray releases than stuck with DVD pressing forever, especially DS9. Little to no compression nor encoding artifacts on the SD format with less discs at the time

Except it would be Blu-ray discs and would require such a player, while DVDs are cheaper and still sell better for the general audience worldwide who is already equiped for DVDs.

There is also rumours of a dispute between Ken Russell and one of the top dogs at Warner which lasts to this day and is the real reason its locked up. I imagine its part of some internal agreement nobody wants to touch!
