Hi, can anyone here do a bit-perfect digital rip capture of the 1990 Fantasia LD?

I think this is the best source for the original soundtrack with Deems Taylor's narration. It won't sync up with the more recent DVD and Blu-Ray releases, however it still would be good to preserve.

Ugh, I wish I could find it on vimeo, but someone added the Taylor voice into the appropriate parts, with the new narration in the extended dialogue. I think the music was from an older copy as well. Check the originaltrilogy forum.

Something interesting was pointed out to me today.
The UK PAL 2000 DVD release of Fantasia HAS the Deems Taylor introductions. http://www.ign.com/articles/2000/11/17/f...-anthology

Of course in all likelihood there'll be PAL speed up to content with. But the UK DVD audio with the MySpleen fan restoration with the uncensored Pastoral scene would make great video source to sync it to.

I have seen Japanese and Korean DVD's of Fantasia on ebay with a listed running time of 117 minutes. Could they possibly be the 1990 version? The Laserdisc was 120 minutes.

None of those ebay links work anymore but I picked up a Fantasia DVD from Japan earlier this year.

I'm not that familiar with the history of Fantasia. Why would this be of interest? How do I tell if its the 1990 version?

Can you rip a sample of the narration? It should be easy to tell if it's the original or not.
