Hi everyone,
as stated in some Terminator 2 Sound discussion Thread, I am going to send my Terminator 2 Squeezed Japan LaserDisc to spoRv for bit-correctly transferring the Audio streams from the Disc to Computer for use in further Projects by forum members.
But postage is not the cheapest for such a sized package, so it would be wise at least to check if there is some other LD in my collection that should be preserved as well. Okay, there are some LDs that not need to be preserved, either because they already are (english languaged Star Wars LDs i.e.) ore are in other kind of projects kind of restored.
Also in some cases the DVD and/or BD releases are well done enougth, or the LDs are not so well done, so that a preservation would be futile.
Because I am in no cases an expert, I just have listed my LD collection, and now I am asking you for input, what LD(s) I should send to spoRv, that they would be transferred for someone to use.
Maybe someone has already some project, and now there is some LD just fitting into his project for a bit more.
My List:

Also: I may try to answer questions regarding the LDs, but it may take time, I am just every two weeks near my LD collection.
Thanks.

Was the German crawl from Star Wars ever recreated for the Harmy's Despecialized? Me and Leonardo dealt with the Italian version of v2.0, re-creating crawls and subtitles for Greedo, I don't know if others did the same for their own... countries. If not, it might be worth capturing it for future use
AKA thxita on OriginalTrilogy
I preserve movies as they first appeared in Italy.

Not only was the Crawl translated in Germany, I recently stumbled upon a LD with the Title itself "KRIEG DER STERNE" instead of "STAR WARS" at the beginning of the Crawl.
I do not know if that ever was preserved. I do not remember the despecialiced Version. I think I never got the chance to aquire it.

I would like to see the German 'Bullet in the Head' LD preserved. It could be useful for my project here: https://fanrestore.com/thread-1236.html
Is it the extended version? I highly doubt it, but the listed running time would match the extended cut at PAL speed.

It is the normal uncut Version, it only has the alternative ending as bonus, that seems to be included in the running time.
Same goes for the French LD, that I got because the backside has a very high running time, and I got not informations regarding version.

Ah, okay. I could still use the Cantonese Mono PCM. Which LD has better sound?

I do not know, never compared the directly, but my guess would go to the French one. I am really surprised that we even got the original mono at all on the German disc.

Okay, at the Moment I only have (in addition to the Terminator 2 SQZ) 'Bullet in the Head' with original Cantonese Audio on the List to send to spoRv for ripping.
I plan on contacting him around last weekend in January for his adress, to bring the package on it's way, so there is still the possibility for maybe one addition until last Saturday in January. Every wish received after that has to wait if there is another LD2RIP package towards italy.
Hope nobody will hurt my precious on the postway to Italy (and after ripping back to my collection... )

Sorry I didn't notice this thread earlier, but I actually already captured the AC3 from one of the Squeeze T2 releases (I believe there's two different ones) and have already given some of the members here the files. I don't think I captured the PCM yet but it would be easy enough for me to do so.
I also have a non-squeeze AC3, an older LBX, and the CAV Special Edition boxset that has the You Could Be Mine music video.

There are two different squeeze LDs, and one of it has interestingly a different color grading. The second one got corrected color grading. I don't know if they changed the audio, also.
Now there are three movies I will send to spoRv to capture:
T2 SQZ
Bullet in the Head French (for the original mono audio)
Das Boot German extended (is stated to have different color grading compared to extended DVD and BD releases...)
