All the original mixes are available on the deluxe DVD releases in AC3. I have those synced to my BD copies. I was looking for lossless audio. Thanks though!

Which version did you sync the AC3 mixes to, the US or German? The German ones do seem to have better grain at least.

I synced the AC3 to US for Part 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7. I used the German video for 4, 5 and 8. Those 3 are better than US.

So Scream Factory just announced their new Friday the 13th set - I wonder if they will give us the original audio?

I know I saw that! I really hope the original mixes are included in lossless form. That set will be mine on day one! About time this franchise gets the respect it deserves on blu-ray. Tin set was a little half-assed with 2 films per disc with part 5 and up and then no original mixes (even in AC3 from for 4 and up).

I would imagine there would be for at least the fourth film I imagine since it'll be toting a brand new 4K restoration apparently. It'd seem a bit strange not to include it at that point if you ask me. As for the ones past that, it's honestly up in the air.

Yes it's odd when they do they announcement they talk about new scans and extra features etc - but don't mention at thing about the audio. I guess they think the majority of people aren't too concerned about it.

It's not actually 4K UHD it's a new 4k scan on blu ray - for the first four movies.

Well Scream Factory have now announced full details and it looks like the first five movies will all be getting mono audio - guess the question is whether it is the original mono audio or a mix down.
