Does this audio file appear to be Mono? I'm not sure. But it is the best audio I have found. Perhaps Laserdisc is better.

Criterion's Blu-ray audio is similar to UHD. It looks very muffled, a lot of filtered noise.

sounds like it was taken off an optical track.

I'm guessing the UK StudioCanal Blu-ray and their UHD have identical audio, presumably about as bad as the Criterion and potentially exactly the same.

This trend is really bloody irritating.

Wonderful job, watched this with your track and it definitely was an improvement.
