That's the reason I like 3 more than 2: it at least feels like a Highlander film.

Did the third film seem like a remake of the first one for you? I felt at least the second tried to do something different.

Renegade cut did get restored and retitled special edition in which they fixed all the visual efx especially the shield effect, was available on dvd and blu with a great doc about all the mismanagement behind the film

It was unfinished though since the company behind it went bankrupt during the production of it. Hense why the video quality is so slap-dash and some sequences just straight up being left out.

They did go complete/add a sequence when filming for highlander 3 so they did attempt to complete it, its about as complete as will ever be, i remember the US blu being more consistent in quality than the japanese blu but its been a while since i looked at the both, to this day i still forget what ending is on what cut.
