I have a 1999 DVD R2, who seems to be in 2.55 format (letterbox...) unlike the HD 2.35 version.
There are many more picture on DVD. https://slow.pics/c/j59Edg9w It's a shame that the HD version cuts so much, I don't know if there are HDrips of the old master. Thanks given by: SwatDB

Wow! I have the blu-ray but hadn't realized it was cropped!
