"Jon Brion - MAGNOLIA 1999 - So Now Then" 5.1 isolated score (24-bit)
Just for fun, I took the Dolby TrueHD 5.1, made an isolated instrumental, removed sound fx, dialogue. No commercial 24-bit 5.1 version exists, only the stereo PCM.
My process was lossless all the way through (aside from the AI tinkering). Play loud.

What kind of tools do you use to remove Vocals or Sound Effects?
FYI: I use x-minus.pro (Ultimate Vocal Remover) and since it dosen't contain SFX remover, I'm fine in keeping them intact, since I believe:
A: Isolated Music and Effects is an acceptable alternate and film before 1954 also use M&E (from a WB Cartoon perspective)
B: I believe you get better AQ by keeping the Sound Effects intact

Steinberg Spectral Layers. I've used UVR and many others, I believe the quality of SpectralLayers is the best.
I agree w/ your sentiment and theory, but this was done JUST to have the score in 5.1, which does not exist. If I'm doing a fanedit of the movie, I take a different approach

FYI, I own both SpectraLayers (10, I believe) and UVR (not to be confused with x-minus) on my Pewty.
But I found the x-minus to have a bit better vocal removal AQ, thanks to the "Mel-RoFormer by unwa v2" compared to SpectraLayers (from what I have experienced)
