Hello SHM, I bought the DTS Cinema CD and I'll receive it around July 1st. I should be able to synchronize it with the UHD video. What I don't understand is why I put it in FLAC 5.1 rather than in Wave. I have DTS sur code to work with.

Isn't FLAC 5.1 a better option for DTS Cinema CDs since FLAC supports 44.1 kHz, which is the native sample rate of DTS CDs? DTS-HD MA would need to be upsampled to 48 kHz, right?
I synced the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track from the 2008 Blu-ray to the UHD, so it’ll be interesting to compare the differences.

I try with surcode dts with pretty good results, and the sound is fantastic !
I tried to synchronize it by watching the UHD video on Prime and listening to the DTS on the receiver, but it's out of sync. I think the movie is in 24 fps and the UHD is in 23.976 fps. Regarding the soundtrack, there's no difference between the Dolby Digital UHD Prime and the DTS Cinema. I read on another forum someone explaining the different sound levels recorded on the media, and that by increasing the volume or correcting the LFE level to bring it to the same level, the differences disappear. I managed to recreate the dynamics of laserdiscs on Blu-ray and DVD. That's actually good news.

Sorry, I'm correcting myself, it's the DTS CD "The Dark Night" that I tested. I haven't received Indiana Jones yet. Sorry guys. I'll get back to you as soon as I receive it.

I think in DTS suite you can encode as wav DTS, which will play better with zero loss. Many media players can't handle 5.1 flac.
