Yeah its reeeally confusing between the DVD releases.
So what 🔍DVDBeaver refers to as "Lionsgate Special Edition" is the same as the "Artisan Special Edition" on 🔍DVDCompare going by the listed extras.
Looking at the comparison screenshots, the Artisan SE has the newer remaster which all the later BDs are based on. And only the original 1998 DVDs has the brighter image and different colours, which is the same transfer as the LDs.
I personally like the look of the 1998 DVDs but I don't know if they're accurate. Doesn't look like they are easy to find for cheap these days either
The 4K remasters has all sorts of problems so I'm going to skip that.
