Preservation/restoration ideas - need help and opinions!

UPDATES:

- added The Arrival BD with "correct" color grading (read: a 50/50 BD with corrected levels and DVD); it looks very nice, working on it right now, should be ready in the next few days - really, this time!
- not added here, but I'm working on Waterworld (LD colors) as well; even this will be released this week
- The Arrival DVD upscale: now that I'm working on the previous version, I see that its colors are too warm; I could try to make the same with the DVD (mixing its colors with the BD ones, 50/50); anyone interested in this, or in the "plain and simple" DVD upscale?
- Waterworld "Alan Smithee" color grading: anyone (still) interested?

Fiber connection is on its way; when ready, I'll start to upload side projects like the last two ones.

Timeline is almost ready - it's really nice indeed now - but with the actual connection it will take a life, plus few years, to upload; I scheduled that for the next few weeks, when fiber would hopefully be ready... stay tuned for more projects!

About Timeline: thanks to an help from doom9, I found a good solution to the problem, and fast too; so, right now I'm encoding it lossless using four parallel virtualdub instances!

Should be ready tomorrow, then add few hours of lossy encoding, and I may be able to start to seed it in two days!

EDIT: it took more time than promised, but at the end it is released!

Is Titan A.E in scope because the HD version on Netflix is cropped to 16x9 which I refuse to watch lol

Also, Solaris is out on BD in a few weeks in Germany

Well, if Solaris will be released soon, no need for a project... unless colors will be messed up - and there is quite some chances!

The Abyss (Theatrical cut) as it's the only title from the poll you user would like to get it ASAP, I've started to work on it.

The Abyss (extended edition, OAR & open matte) sources quality is really low, so I put them on hold until when (if) better sources would show up.

Robin Hood (Theatrical cut) now a second HDTV version is available (thanks to Beber from OT); it should improve a bit the old Cinemax version; the combined sources would be used for the few scenes which are not available in the Extended Edition found on BD.

The Chronicles Of Riddick (open matte) is almost completed - I'm waiting to receive the Cinema DTS track (thanks to Jetrell Fo!); if everything goes well, it will be released in the next few days; I've watched the final version yesterday, and it's a gorgeous full open matte!
