Is it the same sound mix as the Live DVD AC3 Version?
That really would be great.

It has none of the changes made for the 5.1EX remix, my guess is it is from the same source as the Live DVD. I can't wait to hear it synced to the Blu-ray (at a suitably high volume) but that'll have to wait until the new year. It will be interesting to see if what is being said about the ac3 from the squeeze laserdisc is true, ie it is the track to beat all tracks.

I think, will send my LD to spoRv next year. (Somehow hard to give that gem out of my hands again, but it is for beneftitting us all. and it just will be a limited time, until I cann put it back nect to its friends in my collection )
Maybe I should check if I have another LD that worthy being preserved audio wise, that I may send it togerther with the SQZ to save postage.
At least postage from germany to italy should not be that high for LD sized packages. Would be significantly more expensive if he would live somewhere in the states, or who-knows-where .

Actually, the more discs the better, to save, as you wrote, on each title basis. But send me a list first, because I could have the same ones!
OT: what about some laserdisc trades? I have some doubles I'd prefer to exchange with other laserdiscs, instead of selling. Got also some German titles to trade.

I will do a list of my LDs some weekend in January. But I don't think that I will have much rare or really searched to preserve discs, besides the SQZ T2.
Just started collectiong few years ago.
I have not very much doubles. And talking doubles, I just think of same disc, not same movie on different releases.

Of course. It happens when you are "forced" to buy bulk collection, accepting to have a percentage of doubles, hoping to trade them with other discs you have not. Or using them as nice wall watches!

The few I have I bought purposely, because I was hoping to get LDs with different or fewer scratches.
With DVD the collection or bulk package happened more often, that way I got some of the US T2 DVDs more then once..

I could consider to trade some of my laserdiscs with DVDs or BDs as well.

the most interesting T2 disc was the japnaese first squeezed LD release... (okay, maybe the Muse LD is a tidbit more interesting.. but I still need that and a player.. ^^)
