It's funny just to hear him excited about video technology Wink

He is a reserved fellow. Besides you just know he's LaserDisc for life

Just found a "The Dark Knight: Theatrical Regrade v1.0" on ms; is it related to this project somehow?

The usual suspects there are not the ones found here...

Nope it's not my project. I assume it's darkestknight from the ot.

It would of been nice to be asked before he took parts of my project like the DTS track chris_solo synced and jetrell provided but I guess, oh well. Tongue

Anyway the more the merrier. I'm going to download it myself amd give it a watch; see how it compares.

No-one here involved with the material he used were credited .... but others were.

From DarkKnight's upload description ...

"I want to thank everyone who has supported and helped me with this project. A few I wish to thank by name.
Papai2013, for his constant support, critiques, and full screen copy which will be used for the full IMAX release
DrDre, for developing his color matching tool which made this project possible
TServo2049, for providing the screener
Wahajec, for the Cinema DTS track."

I won't be downloading it as I am awaiting the one I participated in.

"The Batman Begins disk was composited with the Dark Knight version to keep the same detail and color on the Begins disk without getting a cropped picture."

Huh?

I posted this over at myspleen ...

chris_solo did the cinema DTS sync and I believe other elements of the project were contributed by PDB alongside what TServo contributed. Wahajec did not mention any of us in his torrent here of the IMAX V1.1 either. He was probably so excited to get it out to everyone that he forgot. It's all good. I believe in team work and making sure the lineage of the work done on these projects stays intact because it benefits everyone. I'm sure Wahajec feels the same way.

Thank you for sharing your efforts. It is appreciated.

Batman RULES!!!!

Those of you that are members there can read the rest on your own. All I want is to keep the team work flowing and to keep the lineage of the sources straight because it benefits everyone and all future projects using such sources.

Cheers all!!!!

He's also failed to mention that the project directly jumped off mine.
Down to him following all the research Id done, sources and all!
He was even the last person to post on my project thread over on OT, saying as much.

I can not really say anything though, as i had to abandoned mine due to my life situation, and didn't bother picking it up again because others we're doing such great stuff with the material.
Nevermind, I'm just a Credit's due where Credit's due kind of guy Wink

He did some great work, mainly through Dr Dre's contributions with his plug in, but props for finishing it. It must have been alot of work.
I'm downloading now.

Thanks Jetrell.

To be fair I was mostly joking and he might of not know the origins of the soundtrack. Once a project is out there, people are free to do what the want with it. That's the internet. My concern was mostly credit for you and Chris_solo who spent days working on that track for me (which was hours of checking). Like CSchmidlapp, I'm a big credit due guy also. And like CSchmidlapp said, his work was my jumping point of for this project (not to mention the materials he provided) so he deserves a fairly big chunk of the praise.

Speaking of credits: Wahajec is a really nice guy who uploads for me since I'm not able to do so (long story). And when I give him the NFO/description, I'm don't include credits for myself or any contributors. I don't have people connected directly to the work because some are uncomfortable with that. In fact, I really don't take credit on MS for any projects unless something needs to be explained or clarified. Wahajec is just being nice and doing what I asked by not including credits. I figure a simple search gets you the answers you need.

One thing I don't understand is this 16:9 IMAX like the BD?
