By the way, watched Tenet only today, and... dunno, I guess a second view is mandatory; many defined the storyline complicated to follow, but to me was not - after Memento, The Butterfly Effect, Mr. Nobody, this was almost like a walk in the park; imagine-wise superb, music great, dialogs sometimes not up to the task but acting was good, as much as SFX (if plane smashing cars was not practical effects, it was perfect in my book!); yet, albeit not boring, it seemed a bit a too classic mix between spy story and heist genre with a spruce of sci-fi "just to"; not that the movie was bad, at the contrary, still it lacks "something" that I can't define (yet)
Vote: I'll leave for next watch, but I'd say north of 7/10

I watched the fan-edit "Superman 2: Ultimate Cut" yesterday. I enjoyed it more than I expected because there were some scenes in the movie that were basically the same but not a "take" that I had ever seen before. Lois Lane wearing Superman's shirt with no pants and her own socks was much cuter than I cared to admit (even as a kid, I never liked her "look" as Lois Lane.)
Now that I think about it, I had the same reaction to Trinity in the Matrix series. Sure, she kicked butt. But did she also have to be butt-ugly? Kidding...
A Russian sci-fi set in the middle 80s; slow, dark, pale colors, perfectly helped to transport the viewer to that time and place - at least, it did it to me, even if I never was there. Far from a complete original story, still it has its moments, and it's unmissable for anyone who loves sci-fi and monsters.
Visually stunning, great stories, fun, entertaining, good acting and actors, pretty perfect CGI except... well, watch the last episode and you can understand why it is NOT ALWAYS perfect!
Watched the first episode of The Stand. In a word... "Ugh!" They leave out the very beginning of the story (!?) and the flashbacks ruin the mounting tension of a world falling apart. I don't know anything about doing fan edits, but I can see it working MUCH better if the scenes were rearranged into the correct order.
One point in particular: the power goes out at Frannie's house while she's watching the president speak on tv. Next it shows Harold typing on his typewriter using candles for light. A few mins later, Harold is brushing his teeth while listening to the radio with the lights on.
If you're a fan of this series then you might want to expect to be disappointed.

Oh noooo. I kinda expected it to be a bit dodgy from the trailer alone but I was vaguely hoping I might be wrong. Perhaps not.
