I was surprised too, but I was under the impression that Ford hated the direction that the original took rather than the film itself (if you see what you mean).

By the way, I just got hold of your Criterion regrade of the IC.  It's astounding work, PDB – really makes the film come alive.

Although, I can see things that I can fix or do better nowadays, I'm rather proud of that since it was my first project that I officially finished. That and I pulled off the DC PCM sync to the IC which at the time I wasn't sure I could do.

Did I never comment on that release? My bad. Spliced off the happy ending on my laptop, and it's honestly my go-to disc for Blade Runner.

Grading looks rich, but never like an old telecine (no magenta push to be seen or anything). Have no idea if it's accurate, but it's certainly more visually striking than the dull, "straight off the IP" look of the archival cuts on the commercial BD. Your work with audio syncing was also worthwhile, love being able to toggle between the two option so easily.

This release isn't available yet, but we were talking about PDB's previous International Cut regrade, which is in the usual place (at least last time I checked).

Yeah, Falcon is right; not done yet. I'm slow with these projects and this one is a while off. Just working towards finishing before the sequel.
