Yeah, I already tweeked it further and redone the whole first 10 minutes that way. I think I'll do both, unless someone tells me how to retain the black levels even with the use of this film LUT in the process. 'Cause I really want to do it that way, I like the film look very much, plus it'll be way faster as I found a tweek that already looks good on most of the film as is that only requires further tweeking shot by shot, and the result is very convincing and close to the 35mm scan reference. So that way, it'll look like film and not like video, DCP, Dolby Cinema, OLED, etc.

The bar scene was challenging in matching Arnold shots with each other when facing the cigar-smoking biker. You'd think in a controlled lighting environment, one correction would work on all similar shots, but nope! I finally managed to reach a satisfying match. I'm quite amazed how close to the 35mm source I can get now. It's very gratifying how cool it looks. I should finish the 1st reel by the end of the week:

First pass on reel 2 is done. I'll have to test watch it to see where it needs extra work:

Yes, I like it a lot, too. It works really well so far. For reel 2, I'll need to revisit the Sarah and Silberman scene, which is a headscratcher to make it look good and consistent, plus it's a two-part scene with a different lighting with a ray of sunshine from the side window in part 2. There's also a couple of shots in other scenes that will require adjustments such as the corridor scene, the chase and the conversation at dusk between John and T-101.

Looks good, just wanted to say in the bar scene, the biker shots aren't supposed to match, due to the lighting, and the way they are standing, they have different lights on each of them. (Bar lights).

Yeah, but the same angle on a steady Arnold with his poker face, or same-ish angle, facing the cigar smoker are supposed to match, and that's what was challenging. Beyond that, yeah, of course, they don't all have the same light on them in there, and they are moving.
