The UK blu has a 2.0 pcm mix
I was giving an example of comparing a very good DS track to a later SR one. If Disclord's theory was correct, Die Hard got its 70mm blowup and beefed up 6 track audio after test screenings went well.
Thanks, I didn't realize Nikita had a modern release without the 5.1 remix.

I didn't want to open a new thread for a little question so you'll forgive me if I ask it here: in what language are the intro titles and end credits in your Blu-Ray releases? French or English?

The Trimark DVD IIRC had English titles, since that used the US print opening Samuel Goldwyn indents at the start and end. I notice that on the French DD Tru HD track on my US Nikita BD that the rear surrounds seem to be "mono", not split stereo L/R like I see on most remixes (the eng track had split L/R surrounds and seemed mixed differently though it could be me hearing things different due to lack of sleep from lifer things). I speculate that the since all BDs includ the Sony BD use the same HD master (Crica 2005-ish, since they open with Gaumont tag with a flower forming the logo that was used at the time), the FR 5.1 mix may be the same as the DTS-MA 5.0 on the Gaumont BD (which is also rumored to be the original Dolby Surround mix) but with an LFE added.
