Harry Potter - extended editions
#21
Thanks, Lio. Right now I'm planning to make them based on the Freeform broadcasts but I'll let you know if I change my mind and would use them.

Freeform is going to air all of the films one last time just before New Years, when they lose the rights to HBO. In case anyone wants one last chance to record them.

- One during the marsh chase scene, wherein Ginny loses her wand (even though they cut this out, you can still see in the film that she picks it back up!)
- Snape saying, "It's over..." after assassinating Dumbledore.

I have the Apple Trailers encodes for both in 1080p, and can provide them to whoever is working on the project now; neither have Apple watermarks fortunately, and both have 5.1 mixes, so the background music can be removed by just using the center channel. The video quality is a little rough, but apparently the "Ultimate Edition" Blu-ray of the film has all the film's trailers (probably at a higher bitrate). I believe I have a friend who has it, so I can ask him to double-check and maybe grab the video from that release if these shots seem worth including.

Even if they are brief shots, they are worth the inclusion, I think; BD versions would be very welcome.
If you or someone else are aware of other shots like these, please let us know!

martokc over on RuTracker has made 720p (1280x720) fan-extended versions of all the films (except the first and second film since those have been officially extended on home media). They are blu-ray-sourced but the deleted scenes are all SD I think. The cuts are very noticeable (mostly due to the quality difference) and I think that the colors in the inserted scenes does not match the rest of the film.

There is a serious issue with the Half-blood Prince though, where an alternative version of the ending scene is placed next to theatrical version of the same scene. It has been pointed out in the comments:

Quote:Sorry for writing in English. I do not speak Russian.

The ending scene is messed up. Hermione says "You need us" twice. It feels out of place the first time she says it. It would be better if it matched the script for the film. Perhaps it makes more sense with Russian audio though. Here is the script for the movie: [removed].
However, I do not think the issue has been resolved. I think it is certainly possible to fix.

Also audio track 1 is Russian dub, but track 2 is original English. No English subtitles. Interestingly, I think that the deleted scenes were never dubbed to Russian and that for those scenes, dubs made by fans were used instead (on the Russian audio track only of course).

Thanks to Lio, now I have the two HP6 trailers with the two shots that could be useful.
Must add also there is an alternate take, when Dumbledore and young Tom Riddle are in the horphanage; when the closet takes fire, the former turns at the beginning, while in the BD he stays still.
Also, an alternate title, very nice, that eventually could be used - more tests needed, though.

If anyone is aware of more shots from trailers/teasers not present or different from the BD, just post here!

There are these ones for example:

I haven't found it in 1080p and never seen it anywhere else before.

The same happened in the Order of the Phoenix trailer: we see an awesome shot of the Educational Decrees exploding. In the actual movie, that shot was mostly obscured by the Weasley Fireworks that were supposed to cause the explosion.
In the Chamber of Secrets teaser trailer, there are a couple shots of Lockhart's classroom being wrecked by the pixies, except the CGI pixies weren't added in.
The teaser for the first movie includes the shot when Neville is flying away from the flying class, except Neville hasn't been Chroma Keyed in yet. So it's just a background plate of everyone looking up at nothing.
A number of TV spots for the first film showed Hermione saying, "He's rather disagreeable, isn't he?" It's nowhere in the film and was also not in the Deleted Scenes on the DVD. The fact that the kids don't have their house-colored uniforms yet would seem to indicate that it takes place sometime before they get up to their dormitories for the first time. Possibly it's from the filmed-but-never-released scene with Peeves, in which case Peeves would presumably be the "he" to which Hermione was referring. It may also be from the scene when Harry meets Malfoy for the first time. The theatrical trailer also has a shot not in the film. It shows Percy leading the first years down a hallway and is therefore quite likely from the elusive Peeves scene.

Note - some maybe be in the film and/or deleted scenes, I just watched a lot of images and grabbed the ones I don't recall to have watched before:

Now, I don't want to search all the web for these trailers, so, if someone want to see those shots inserted back in the movies, and they are not on BD (I have them), or they are better/have better audio, please provide 1080p sources - try to avoid youtube videos, as they are usually low quality, and encoded of higher bitrate versions... so, HDTV, WEBdl would do.

EDIT: before everything else, check first post!

Thanks in advance!

Here are the ones from my go-to sites for trailer downloads (they have straight download links).

A few Harry Potter movies:
http://www.davestrailerpage.co.uk/trailers_h.html

sorcerer's stone
http://blog.hd-trailers.net/2009/09/18/h...n-trailer/

deathly hallows 2:
http://www.hd-trailers.net/movie/harry-p...ws-part-2/

deathly hallows 1:
http://www.hd-trailers.net/movie/harry-p...ws-part-i/

half blood prince:
http://www.hd-trailers.net/movie/harry-p...od-prince/

order of the phoenix
http://www.hd-trailers.net/movie/harry-p...e-phoenix/

iTunes trailer download site doesn't seem to work for me, but that is also a possible source.

I don't know if these have the desired scenes though, I'm too lazy to look.

Now, I do not quite know where to look for trailers, but I would love to see them inserted into the films! If they fit, that is.
