The point is that the thread is an inquiry into whether there are any such tracks. So far, nobody seems to know of any specific ones.
Dolby Digital Plus - any known preservations

Resurrection! In case anyone got it... I read that Mad Max 2 HD-DVD has foreign audio tracks in DD+ 640kbps that are otherwise 192kbps on all other Blu-ray versions or even the recents UHD. So that would be a good bunch of tracks to preserve!

The Archival Versions of Blade Runner sound best on HD-DVD and not Blu-ray.
Both the Blu-ray and HD-DVD versions are 640kbps 5.1 but the HD-DVD is in DD+ and not standard DD. The HD-DVD also has the original Dolby Stereo 2.0 mixes in DD+ (doubt they would sound as good as the LaserDisc tracks, however) as well as a plethora of different dubs across all versions.

Wow OK, I'm rebuying the HD-DVD, also I think I can find an X-Box HD-DVD player for cheap, which will allow me to rip it.

Are you getting the 5-disc version? Make sure to get the 5-disc one, since we need the Dolby Digital Plus mixes for the Archival Versions more than The Final Cut, which is already in TrueHD 5.1 on both HD-DVD and Blu-ray.

Yes, I found it online for 20 bucks. If I can get my hands on an xbox HD-DVD player for like 20 bucks, that will be it.

The Workprint of Blade Runner got a DTS-HD MA 5.1 track on this 2012 release, it and the Director's Cut also got a boost to AVC over VC1 I believe.

Too bad the 2012 release still has Dolby Digital for the Archival Versions even if the video is now AVC. I have a proposal for the ultimate releases for Blade Runner here: https://fanrestore.com/thread-4743.html As for the other versions of the film not on home video, the San Diego Exclusive Preview is lost. And there are two more versions: the CBS US broadcast cut, and the HBO Asia/Cinemax Asia cut. The HBO Asia cut is basically the CBS cut but without the narration and in HD. Too bad I no longer have cable, nor can I capture a broadcast of the film. I would have preserved the HBO Asia cut. And the audio would be a better source for the censored audio takes than old VHS recordings. Thanks given by: SpookyLemon13
