There is no way this wasn't 1.85:1 or with the care Fox put in the 4k would have had that AR.
I owned this on nearly every UK and US format and have not seen different. Hopkins used both ratios in his time but I just don't see it.

I have a question, I will get a copy of my french laser disc wich has more screen top and bottom like the tv versions, quality is not the best but better than the vhs.Also a better colour grading in my opinion.Is it possible to merge the dvd with the LD ? First I will replace the audio track with the PAL english track from the dvd, they should match.

Also, there should be HDTV captures around with bigger frame size than BD, that could be used in conjuction with open matte HDTV. Still, can't say the color grading will match, after a proper regrade, though; tests must be done.

Your US blu-ray cap doesn't look correct based off what's on caps-a-holic:

I need to correct your image. My Danish TV source was SD, never HD
 I'm sorry if I ever gave the impression it was an HD broadcast. Danish TV in 2006 was still analogue and SD. Thanks given by: predator2
