These recent messages have got to be absolute funniest shit I've read on this forum in a minute lmao. The obsession with The Stats™ has gotta be the most counterproductive thing ever when people have spent probably close to 2 decades researching these mixes.

To which posts are you refering to? I didn't talk about stats at all. Beside using automatical analyses with my own tool I used Audacity and listening.

I just talked about it with Gemini. It tells me it's true that only the 1998 THX LD (and the squeeze LD in Japan, I think) have the real CDS mix, except compressed in the lossy Dolby format @ 384 kbps instead of the around 1.4 mbps of the original CDS format.

Don't believe Gemini or ChatGPT. They got their information from this thread. I could not find any other source with such a high level of detail other than this thread.

And its answer is clearly wrong: the french HD DVD and Blu-ray show the same flaws as the japanese and Live DVDs. They seem to be derived from the same source and only differ in LFE and surround levels.

If you shepherd Gemini well, it can be slightly more successful than ChatGPT, but it is very lacking when it comes to the technical details of mixings 🤣
