[No Longer Available] Alien Regrade (Fox THX Laserdisc)
Are there any other parts of the film where there are Italian titles?? (beside the end credits, of course)

I doubt it. I don't recall any scene that required subtitles, I'll rewatch it but I'm pretty sure. I've been told that Paramount and Fox send to TVs these HD copies where they splice Bluray material along with the intro titles and end credits from scans of the actual film they have (whenever that is available), it's all done for cost effectiveness and people rarely notice that titles have a different quality or color. So usually you would only find the beginning and end like this (unfortunately for us).

Here's more that might be of reference, feel free to repost it as images to appear here

I notice that somebody didn't clean their lens properly when scanning it (or perhaps it's on the actual film), I see a darker patch in a part of the screen that "follows" the panning. Probably you can't notice it from screengrabs

Hey, no problem. How does it compare with your regrade to laserdisc? Does the planet have the same colors?

I preserve movies as they first appeared in Italy.

The postcards come later!

PDB, is your release in PAL? I noticed the age markers on the artwork and it confused me. I probably just missed something, per my usual style, LOL.

No, PDB's release wouldn't be PAL. I'm sure it's because FrankT is from the UK, why he added those.

Does anybody have a hi-def copy of the original poster for the film? I really like the first custom wrap cover for the Bluray that was posted a couple of pages ago, I would like to make something like that too (for the Italian language).

The Heavy Metal version is also fun but it's just like the comic book I actually own (The Illustrated Story)

Here is what it looks like

And Doombot is right, no PAL. 1080p/23.97

So the first shot of the Nostromo is not blue on the THX Laserdisc?

In your regraded version the Nostromo is only slightly darker but the planet rings seem way darker. There's lots of details missing on the planet itself (or at least "darkened out"). I can't say much on the colors since I'm colorblind and I leave this topic to people with better eyes who can judge if there is any difference in hue.

Yep the Nostromo is gray throughout the laserdisc. One of the many interesting differences.

The laserdisc varies in brightness when compared with the BD. It moves between being much darker, much brighter and on par (when you balance the black level to match between the two). The opening is darker up until MUTHR comes online. Then its about par with the BD until the breakfast when its darker again. Then it gets brighter again. It varies scene to scene so I kept the look figuring it was intentional.

Notice the credits are about the same brightness as the BD. It was hard to get the background dark and the credits bright like that.

Here is good example of the opposite:
