You can find it on blutopia.

From what I have seen of it so far, I love it, there have been a few drop off points, image wise so far, but they are so minimal they are almost irrelevant and have already seen a few things I never noticed before in all the times i have seen it.
Thank you so much for sharing and I'll edit my post with further feedback after I have finished Thanks given by: OperatorIV

Thanks, any feedback is more than welcome; I know there are some drop outs here and there (read: white speckles), but almost all are small enough to pass unnoticed; I preferred to leave them alone, instead of doing a whole despot, to preserve the details... of course, a frame-by-frame despot/manual correction would be preferable, but was not too keen to check more than 200,000 frames! Still, if someone is crazy kind enough to write down exact frame numbers where the most annoying spots are, I could always run out despot just for those single frames.

Really? How am I supposed to get an invite?

You'll have to wait for open reg.

that was superb, the only scene that looked off to me in the whole film was harry waking in the cupboard under the stairs, just before dudley jumps on them i think, there was a bluey shadow around harry's chin which i dont remember seeing before, but would need to recheck to be certain, apart from that absolutely superb. I've seen that film a lot of times and i was seeing new details in that copy, stuff I have never noticed before, overall I would say your copy is the best I have seen, thanks again.

@OogieBoogie: thanks! Write down the frame number of the most severe instance of the bluey shadow problem, and I'll publish a comparison between source and FC.
By the way, it was one of the easiest, from a preservation standpoint; the others took a lot more time and effort, and I think final result would be even better... but let's wait for the release, then you would tell me your opinion! |
