Yes, this is one option; another is Exinpaint, and there are also others, but can't remember... a google search for avisynth delogo will bring some other interesting filters.

Thanks guys. I will give both of your programs/scripts a try. Those examples you posted look great, drngr

Yeah, there are some scripts out there that do give some nice results, but all of them always have a little residual left over from the logo (at least, based on my experience)

The pics that drngr posted, the last shot still has part of the logo. I could never get those filters to work properly.

Yeah, that's what I noticed too. Don't get me wrong, some of them do give nice results and get rid of most (but not all) of the logo, but you can usually tell there was something there as it leaves behind artifacts.

If they would just stop with the damn logos already. Nothing bugs me more.

that's like hoping that studios will stop DNR'ing everything to death... in other words, don't hold you breath...

So another HDTV version of MI4 is running in 2 weeks on a different station (Telemundo HD) then the original one I got (FX HD). Just looking at another movie, it seems that the station ID is in a different location then my previous recordings. Its far closer to the center, I think to protect for a 4:3 broadcast. Hopefully this will be the answer I need to re-create the Imax MI4.

good luck with that PDB... hopefully it'll work and you'll finally have what you've been looking for
