Point Break (1991) Open Matte - Recommendations??
#1
I need some recommendations of professional people of here who are knowing about that.
So, I have downloaded the open matte version of Point Break (1991) starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.
It seems that the quality have artefacts like Top Gun open matte version.
Which video editing software or effects should I take it to remove artefats and get better quality? I can use Adobe Effects and Premiere or Sony Vegas.

I’m looking forward to your recommendations.

In wonder if anyone could slow down the framerate of this to 23.976 Fps. It sucks that this version is 25fps. Syncing the original 2.0 mix to this should be a breeze once this can be achieved

You can slowdown video without encoding using Mkvtoolnix - then sync audio to it.

What has everybody found the best method of slowing down the audio?

I personally use UsEac3To.

How is the sound quality using that method? i've slowed down a PAL DVD in the past (I can't remember the name of the program i used though) and the audio quality took a big hit.

TSmuxer can slow down 25fps to 23.976, provided the source is progressive. It won't change the audio, so you will need to encode and sync properly timed audio separately.

Avidmux can slow down both video and audio, but audio this way is limited to AAC or AC3. Leaving audio direct in formats such as DTS or PCM will sound garbled.

I Corrected the Pitch from 25 FPS to 23.976 FPS and synced it the original Dolby 2.0 mix from the 2001 DVD. PM me if you are interested!

in a torrent search engine, type in Point Break (1991) WEB-DL 1080p [Open Matte] -BLUEBIRD.mkv that's the one with the best quality. It's 8.35 GB. The majority of the space is taken up by different Russian dubs, but i dropped all of the tracks after correcting the pitch and just synced the 2.0 mix from the 2001 DVD. It's now only 4.19GB
