Finally managed to start downloading the SE. Mega is being a pain though. Hopefully will be done by the weekend though

I didn't get the TV cut yet (but mirrored the links), did you delete the goodbye to the cat moment, as in the TV cut, or did you let it there? I reconstructed the TV cut using the Blu-ray playlist and remuxed it, but of course it's there as you can't cut it compiling the playlist.

Take your time rob cheers PDB not seen the special edition version in years so looking forward to watching it since I just watched my UHD of Alien for the first time recently. the last viewings of it was twice on 35mm, once on 70mm and the theatrical edition Blu-ray with LD audio (thanks to Jonno for that one!)

Take your time rob As much as I love Aliens, I've personally grown to not like the SE at all. Just the TC and TV for me  . Sadly, this project won't remotely compete image-wise with the Alien UHD but if you love grain..I'd love to see the movie in 70. That would be amazing.

Just missed this! It's funny how much better these pre-bluray masters end up looking better than the "cleaned up" ones. This is a fantastic project (as well as many others on here
 ).

Finally watched the SE tonight and it brought back great memories of watching my old VHS version with my boys when they were young. Many thanks PDB.
