I think Johnny-5 was looking for a German-Australian comparison.

If you've got any screenshots from the Australian one that you can share then I'll do my best to match them. Otherwise I'd be just taking random mismatched shots like the others you've found online.

I can see the thumbnails in the forum post here, but I get a redirect error when I try to click them: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php...ost8869525

The Blu-ray forum link seems to be of the French release. I don't have a problem viewing them. You could try a different browser.

Here are some snaps from the Australian disc. They are from a torrent post at HDBits and don't come with details of which pics are from which part. https://www.mediafire.com/file/s740llqvx...S.rar/file

Oddly it looks like my ISP is blocking the picture links, I don't usually have any problems with them. I'll look into it.

Thanks for the Australian Blu Ray screencaps. I'll try and match them soon and post some comparisons.

As an outsider, just curious, is there any fanedit combining the Blu rays with everything missing in them?

I think that's what Doctor M is talking about in the thread's opening post. Another user on HDBits has done a hybrid edit but it may not be right due to them using the French Blu Ray.

It's something I've been thinking about doing myself but I've barely got enough time for all the projects I'm already juggling  Big Grin

Yes, HippieDalek, that is what my confusing first post was about. We need a Hybrid Blu-ray that is a proper director's cut repairing as much of the technical failings as possible.

A bit off topic, but I've become a fan of the odd Russian YouTube Channel birchpunk. Make sure the English subtitles are on (if you don't speak Russian).

Sorry it's taken me ages to get back to you about this. I've done my best to match the screenshots and screencapped from VLC (I really wish it had a framestep feature). If you want the actual image files PM and I can send you a link.

To my eyes the picture quality looks identical, so the main difference between the French and German Blu Rays appears to be playback speed.

Here's an example of the how the German Blu Ray handles subtitles:

And an example of the player generated German subtitles from the Children of Dune Blu Ray.

I hope this all helps Smile
